Lizi Beard-Ward will show at ArtTucker annual event. Forty five artists will set up their works for a show on May 4.

A recent move to Atlanta Ga has resulted in the beginning of yet another journey for Lizi Beard Ward. Camera in hand most places she goes and paint brushed lined up and ready to paint will result in a host of new paintings to begin as the new year begins. Lizi has created a new gallery on site...Atlanta. It will encompass the remarkable marriage of nature and huge architecture that creates an amazing skyline for her new surrounds. Check back often as the gallery will grow and grow, and eventually split into several.

Holiday Show and Sale featuring 35 Memphis artists. Twenty five years running, this show is the go to place for Holiday gifts and fun. Hand made gifts and art. Artist Lizi Beard-Ward's painting Delta Dust has been awarded judges prize of $500 at the MGAL National Exhibition at WKNO in Memphis TN. The show runs through the end of August.

A flea market is filled with unique objects invoking curiosity, nostalgia, humor and surprise. A blue and white Pyrex bowl
recalls helping Grandma mix stuffing for holidays past. A cut-crystal candy dish reminds us just how much we love that old-world pink color. A darkly framed formula-landscape evokes dreams of scary monsters. A planet-shaped radio, reflecting design aspects of the early Star Wars days, reminds us of the exact one we had as a kid, except in yellow.

These objects and curiosities are a ripe cache for inspiration - as is the community at the Cleveland Street Flea Market, where some of the vendors have been in business there since the market opened sixteen years ago.

I embellished a common plain table based memories of Florida. I purchased a souvenir plate of Florida; got out my saw and went from there.

Much loved 23rd annual Artist's Holiday Show and Sale in Memphis TN opens Friday Nov 28 with a party form 6-9 PM. Show will be open daily thereafter through Christmas Eve. Shop over 30 fine artisans with works ranging from painting to pottery to clothing, jewelry, sculpture, glassworks, soaps and local honey. The event is sponsored by the Memphis Arts Collective.

For Lizi Ward’s winning shot, she admits it might have been snapped on the fly with her much-used Fuji Finepix s8000, somewhere on the road between Natchez and St. Francisville. “It was one of those times that the sun was so spectacular that you truly could not ignore it.”

Ward, who has spent over 45 years making art, finds inspiration in Louisiana’s natural beauty. She first took up photography as a method of documenting her paintings. Even now, she says her pictures have a “painterly” feel. Soon she found herself snapping thousands of pictures of the world around her. “It’s just another medium,” she says of this creative extension.

Before 2010 Ward had never been outside New Orleans on her treks to discover Louisiana. She spent 62 years as a Memphian before her husband got a job in Baton Rouge. When they did take up residence here, they made short order of repairing those Gulf State blindspots.

LSU Museum Store reopens after remodeling August 1~5-9 PM. Opening coincides with the opening of the Walter Inglis Anderson show in the gallery. Lizi Beard- Ward will be one of the featured artists.

Having seen her images on website, the art director contacted Lizi regarding her images of Abbey Aldrich Rockefeller Garden on Mount Desert Island Maine.

Crossroads by Lizi Beard-Ward has been chosen for inclusion in this month's Lascaux Review. It is paired with the writing of Sean Beaudoin entitled
"Wise Young Fool". Lizi, painter and photographer, is honored to be included in this fine publication.

Art by Lizi Beard-Ward is now for sale at the Louisiana State University Art Museum store. The store is located in downtown Baton Rouge at the Shaw center for the Arts. The shop contain art by regional and nationally recognized artists. The shop is open 6 days a week..Tuesday through Sunday.

Lizi Beard-Ward is featured alongside Ro Rainwater in Rose and Thorn's new online gallery. This journal enjoys huge readership featuring the works of writers...prose and poetry, and now visual artists. The site is superb.

Ward is a painter, photographer, illustrator to name a few, and has made art for 45 years exploring all sorts of media...ink to oils to digital to dimensional works and more. She was booth chair for a huge arts festival in Memphis TN for many years that featured works by over 400 artists and great Memphis music.
