We have a house very much like this one in old towne Brunswick, GA facing one of the historical squares. Love the reflective mood of this one, Lizi.

Hi...It has been a long time since I was there. I had this image saved in my files and got it out recently to work on. I am doing a series of lost houses...mostly along 61 and old 61. I grew up in TN and lived in MS briefly. We traveled 61 a lot as Memphis was really home and Grandmother was there. The shacks were so much a part of the view as we drove....now so many are replaced with trailers with many of the ones still standing being reclaimed by earthly vines. I get there when I can to shoot. This was not near 61, but the look of it fit what I am about right now, and that is revisitng digitally which I used to paint....and am about to again. Digital has held my attention way too long! As I recall...this house which may be long gone now..was next to a park/restaurant/complex that I think was near or right at a railroad track maybe. The little complex may have been the old station.... or an old school . It was 12 years ago or so.... Seems there was also a park like setting. The house sat on the perimeter of it. It may have been a town away....not sure. I drove with a friend and we ran through Calhoun City to look at old family property there. It is possible this was not there but not far from there.. Hope this helps!
